These terms are an agreement between you and ProductSeal, a sole proprietorship based in the United States, about your use of Rampstorm (the "game"). By downloading, installing or playing the game you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the game. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should read and agree to these terms with you.
You also use the game under the Google Play Terms of Service, and our privacy policy explains how data is handled.
1. Your licence to use the game
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install and play the game on Android devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.
The game is licensed to you, not sold. ProductSeal and its licensors keep all rights in the game, except for the open-source and third-party components listed on the licences page, which are covered by their own licences. Nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you.
Unless the law allows it, an open-source licence permits it or section 2 says so, you may not copy, modify, sell, rent, distribute or publicly perform the game, or reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the game.
2. Our characters, story and other content
The game's characters, including the eight pilots you can fly as and the story's cast, together with their names, callsigns, looks and radio lines, the story and its comic panels, the planes, parts, liveries, theme packs and other designs, the music and sounds, and the Rampstorm name and logo, belong to ProductSeal or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Picking a pilot, or buying or earning an item, gives you the right to use it in the game as described in these terms. It does not give you ownership of the character, design or artwork.
You may take screenshots and record videos of your own play and share them for non-commercial purposes, as long as you do not suggest that we endorse you or your content and you do not use our characters or logo on merchandise or in other products. For anything else, ask us first at dev@productseal.com.
The characters and story are fictional. Any resemblance to real people or organisations is a coincidence.
3. Coins, XP and virtual items
The game includes virtual items, such as planes, parts, upgrades, liveries, outfits, contrails, decals, storm cosmetics, Hangar Kits and theme packs, and one in-game currency, Coins. You earn most of these by playing; some come from optional rewarded ads or purchases. Some items, such as the story cast's signature planes, can only be earned in the story. Your XP and Pilot Level measure your progress: they are not a currency and cannot be bought.
- No cash value. Coins and virtual items have no monetary value. They are not money or property.
- No withdrawal or exchange. They cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, or exchanged for money, goods or anything of value outside the game.
- Not transferable. They cannot be sold, traded, gifted or moved to another person or another game, except that one-time purchases stay with the Google account used to buy them (see section 4).
- A limited licence. What you get is a limited right to use these items inside the game while you have access to it.
- No random rewards. The game has no loot boxes or random paid rewards: you always see what you get before you spend Coins or money.
- Saved on your device. Game progress, including your Coins (earned or bought), XP and items, is stored only on your device. It is lost if you uninstall the game, clear its storage, delete your profile in the game or lose your device, and we cannot recover it because we do not keep a copy. Items you bought once with real money can be restored (see section 4).
- Cancelling a Coin purchase. Some items bought with Coins can be cancelled for your Coins back from Account > Purchase history within 24 hours, as long as you have not flown with or upgraded them. The game shows Cancel purchase when this is possible.
- We may change how items and currency work in the game, for example to balance gameplay, but we will not take away an item you paid real money for except as described in section 4.
4. Purchases and refunds
No purchase is needed to play or to finish the game. Everything you can buy with real money is sold through Google Play, shown with its price before you buy. What is on sale can change over time.
- Coin packs add a fixed number of Coins to your balance when Google Play confirms the purchase. Coins you buy work the same as Coins you earn: you can spend them in the game, for example on storm cosmetics or to unlock an item before your Pilot Level reaches it. Like all game data they are stored on your device and cannot be restored once added.
- Hangar Kits are one-time purchases with fixed contents, described in the Shop before you buy.
- Theme packs, where offered, are one-time purchases of a set of looks, such as a livery, outfit, contrail and decal with a matching colour theme. They change how things look, not how your plane flies.
- Direct unlocks, where offered, are one-time purchases that unlock a plane, part or look, or an upgrade tier, without waiting for its normal Pilot Level. Everything they unlock can also be earned by playing.
- Google Play handles all purchases. Prices, payment, taxes, receipts and billing are managed by Google under the Google Play Terms of Service. We never receive your payment details. A purchase that Google Play reports as pending gives you nothing until Google Play confirms it.
- Restoring purchases. Hangar Kits, theme packs and direct unlocks are linked to the Google account used to buy them and can be restored on a new install or device signed in to that account. See how to restore purchases. Coins from coin packs cannot be restored.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637. If you have a problem with a purchase, you can also email us at dev@productseal.com. We will look at it, and any refund we agree to is made through Google Play.
- After a refund, chargeback or cancellation, what came only from that purchase may be removed from the game. For a Hangar Kit, its look and the parts that came with it are removed and the Coins you spent upgrading those parts are returned. For a refunded coin pack, the refunded Coins are removed from your balance, never below zero; any Coins already spent are shown on the Account screen as a refund hold and are taken from Coins you later get from coin packs.
- Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you, including any right to a refund that cannot be excluded by agreement.
5. Rewarded ads
Rewarded ads are optional. You choose whether to watch one in exchange for bonus Coins, shown before you start it. Not watching ads never blocks free play, and no ad is needed to finish the game.
- A reward is given only when the ad is completed and Google's ads software reports the reward as earned. There is no reward for tapping an ad, for closing it early or for an ad that fails to load or play.
- Ads are not always available, and there are daily limits: up to 6 rewarded ads a day across the game, with lower limits for some offers and a short wait between ads. Limits reset each day at midnight UTC.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may fill them from its mediation partner Unity Ads. We do not choose individual ads and are not responsible for the content of third-party ads, but the game limits ads to content Google rates as suitable for general audiences. If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, please tell us.
- Your ad choices are explained in the privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
When you use the game, you agree not to:
- cheat, for example by modifying the game or its saved data, using tools that change how the game works, or faking ad rewards or purchases;
- exploit bugs to gain items or currency, or to get around purchases, ad limits or the Coin purchase cancellation rules;
- tap ads, or get others to tap them, to generate false ad activity;
- abuse refunds or chargebacks to keep items you have not paid for;
- interfere with the game, Google Play or Google's and Unity's ads or billing services, or try to get unauthorised access to them;
- use the game for anything illegal, or in a way that breaks the Google Play Terms of Service;
- remove or hide copyright, trademark or licence notices.
If you break these rules we may, where the law allows, remove items obtained by breaking them. If you find a bug, please tell us at dev@productseal.com.
7. Availability and updates
We may update the game to fix problems, change or add content, or keep it working with Android and Google Play. Some updates may be needed to keep playing or to keep using ads and purchases. We try to keep the game available but cannot promise it will always be available, work on every device, or be free of errors or interruptions.
Features shown as "Coming soon", such as multiplayer, are plans, not promises. We may change or drop them, and if we add online features they may come with extra rules that we will show you first. We may stop offering or supporting the game in future. If we do, the game already installed on your device may keep working, but ads, purchases and restores depend on Google's services.
8. Third-party services and software
The game uses services provided by Google (Google Play, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform), Unity Ads (Unity Technologies, as an AdMob mediation partner) and open-source software. Those services are governed by their providers' own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them. Open-source components are listed with their licences on the licences page.
9. Disclaimer
The game is provided for entertainment "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law, including promises that the game will meet your needs, be uninterrupted or error-free, or that saved progress will never be lost. The game includes flashing lightning and other visual effects; if you are sensitive to them, turn on Reduced flashing or Reduced motion in Settings, and stop playing if you feel unwell. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you, and you may have legal rights that these terms cannot change.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, saved progress, virtual items or in-game currency;
- our total liability to you for any claim about the game is limited to the amount you paid for purchases in the game in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. When the licence ends you must stop using the game. Sections 2, 3, 4 (refund rights), 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after the licence ends.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the game changes or when the law requires it. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and mention important changes in the game's release notes. If you keep using the game after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the game and uninstall it. Changes do not apply to purchases made before the change.
